Mevagissey St Peter's Church

New legislations dictate that all liveable buildings must have an Energy Performance Certificate with the exception of schools and community buildings, as they tend to be difficult to fully assess and are usually ideal for Solar PV due to the nature of their use. This exemption does not however, include churches. Mevagissy Church therefore qualified for the lower 8.9 Fit and a 4 kWp system was installed by R-ECO in two days. Care was taken when installing on the fragile roof with special measures were taken to ensure the lead and old slates were not damaged during the install. One of the R-ECO team even took time mending damages tiles and lead whilst they were up on the roof. This system will produce 3434 kWh per year which will help to reduce energy costs.
